When approaching the website redesign of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM), the first goal was to identify the shortcomings of the old website and to determine the goals that were trying to be accomplished with the new site. The old website was a fixed width design, which was a nightmare for mobile users and it consisted of a significant number of pages, which required drop-downs for visitors to navigate the site. Customers wishing to learn more about the programs ICPM offered were required to go three or four levels deep into the navigation to find relevant information. The new website introduced a responsive, and clean look, with a new color scheme to help ICPM appeal to a younger audience. A full screen menu was introduced with a hamburger button to free up space in the header. Tabs were introduced on the interior pages to allow users to locate all relevant information without having to navigate to multiple pages. The site was integrated into ExpressionEngine which now functions not only as the organizations CMS, but eCommerce platform, and Member Management System as well. I have also integrated Heap Analytics into the website. Heap Analytics allows us to view our customers process through the site and determine where we are potentially losing customers in our sales funnel process.
